Fort Myers Riverfront Innovation Walk Takes Shape
Fort Myers' Community Redevelopment Agency is moving forward with the Innovation Walk, a multimedia riverfront walkway stretching three-quarters of a mile from Hendry Street to the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, celebrating the area's history from the Indigenous Calusa people to Thomas Edison. Urban planning firm Perkins&Will held public input sessions in August, with 98% of respondents calling for more shade along the route. The project will be built in stages, with one of the first installations expected to be "The Blue Light," a solar-powered public artwork currently in the permitting process for Centennial Park. Apple Store at Coconut Point Getting a Major Upgrade

While Apple has not made an official announcement, permit data leads me to believe, that the Apple Store at Coconut Point is relocating approximately two doors down to a significantly larger space, and construction is already well underway. Take a look at the photo below, the new steel beams and torn-up parking lot are hard to miss!

This move has been a long time coming. Back in 2023, AppleInsider reported that the existing storefront was already one of Apple's smallest outlets and that a neighboring empty space could provide an opportunity for expansion.
The new location could bring a dramatically larger footprint that is more in line with what shoppers experience at Apple Stores in major markets, with more space for product displays, the Genius Bar, and Apple's signature in-store programming and workshops. No official opening timeline has been announced, but based on the current pace of construction, the new store wouldn't open until 2027.
I will keep an eye on this one and update you as more details emerge!

Three Oaks Town Center is Getting a Glow Up
The long-vacant former grocery store at Three Oaks Town Center in south Fort Myers is getting a major makeover, and the surrounding plaza is seeing exciting new activity too. Here is a look at what is coming:
Palm City Brewing is relocating from its tucked-away spot in Alico Commercial Park to a highly visible 16,000-square-foot space right on Three Oaks Parkway, a 10,000-square-foot upgrade from their current location. The brewery, started nine years ago by husband and wife Ryan and Marianne Bowen, will feature a roughly 9,000-square-foot tasting room, private event space, an outdoor seating area, and food on-site. The Bowens are building the space from scratch since the store was left as an empty shell, giving them full creative control over the look and feel. Palm City Brewing is expected to open sometime in 2027.
W.O.L.F. Fitness Gyms is taking the other half of the former grocery store, with the fitness center scheduled to open in late fall 2026. The franchise, which started in New Jersey in 2018, emphasizes community and welcomes members of all fitness levels with a mix of classic and modern equipment. Owner Dillon Knoff, a 21-year-old FGCU graduate, signed an 11-year lease. Pricing for the Three Oaks location has not yet been announced.
Coffee Rush, a drive-thru coffee shop originally from Portland, Oregon, is currently under construction at the entrance to the plaza and will be their third Fort Myers area location. Known for handcrafted coffees, seasonal drinks, teas, fresh bakery items, breakfast sandwiches, and even a kids menu. The dual drive-thru setup means the line moves fast, so no matter how much of a rush you are in, they have you covered!
Tipsy Udder has also just taken over the San Carlos Scoop Shop, located in suite 4, bringing their beloved Bonita Springs handcrafted ice cream experience to the neighborhood! This family-owned shop, has been a local favorite since 2016. Every batch is made from scratch with no artificial colors or flavors, featuring 24 flavors of creamy handcrafted ice cream and 6 sorbet options, including eight adult alcohol-infused flavors and even dog-friendly treats. The new Fort Myers location is open Sunday through Thursday 2 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 2 to 10 p.m.
