Head over to Sanibel the Love Sanibel Back Shell Stroll, taking place Monday, July 13 from noon to 4 p.m.! This free, all-ages event is part of Beach Kindness Week.

Here's how it works: pick up your map and passport at Bubbly Latitude (2400 Palm Ridge Rd) and explore any of the 40 participating island businesses, collecting free painted and natural shells along the way. Get your map stamped at 10 different locations and redeem your completed passport at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church for a shell-themed prize, free ice cream from The Shack of Sanibel, seashell cookies from Pinocchio's Original Italian Ice Cream, and a chance to paint your own shells at the shell painting stations hosted by Santiva Islanders volunteers. No sign-up required — just show up and stroll!

The Shell Stroll is part of Love Sanibel Back, a community-wide initiative founded by St. Michael's Church in 2024 to encourage locals and visitors to shop local, spread joy, and give back to the island. The fun doesn't stop after this week either, with Wild Mile Week, Give Back Week, and Celebrate Local Love still to come through August 9.
